Unable to initialize the information store service on Exchange 2010 , error code is - 2147221233, Event ID 5000 and 1122
This problem caused by the following;
Default Policy item was deleted from the E-mail Address Policies tab, and if it was replaced by a custom e-mail address policy.
Exchange Server : 2010 - SP3 - Roll Update 11
Domain Controller : Server 2003
All Mailbox Databases were dismounted. Exchange 2010 was also unable to communicate with Domain Controller...
Possible Solutions:
Question: How to restore the deleted or replaced Default Policy Item?
Answer: The Default Policy Item can be restored by applying the following steps:
Insert the Exchange Server 2010 Media and run;
1. setup.com /PrepareSchema
2. Setup.com /PrepareAD
After applying the above mentioned instructions the Default Policy Item was restored successfully.
Microsoft Exchange Information Store Service is still down and i have the same error...
Applying the Suggested Solutions by Microsoft: ============================== According to my research, I suggest you follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type Adsiedit.msc, and then click OK.
2. On the Action menu, click Connect to.
3. In the Select a well-known Naming Context box, click Configuration, and then click OK.
4. Expand the following: Configuration ( The_Domain_Controller_Name . The_Name_Of_The_Domain . com ) CN=Configuration,DC= domain ,DC=com CN=Services CN=Microsoft Exchange CN= Organization CN=Recipient Policies
5. Right-click the email address policy that you want, and then click Properties.
6. Under Attribute, click purportedSearch, and verify that the value is (mailNickname=*). Note: If the purportedSearch value is not (mailNickname=*), follow these steps: a. Click purportedSearch, and then click Edit. b. Click Clear, type (mailNickname=*) in the Value box, and then click OK.
7. Under Attribute, click msExchPolicyOrder, and then click Edit.
8. Click Clear, type 2147483647 in the Value box, and then click OK two times.
9. Exit Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) Edit..
10. Restart the server that is running Exchange Server.
